Mets Donate $185,000 for Women's Health

On Wednesday night (April 2), New York Mets' pitcher Matt Harvey, right, presented a $185,000 check to North Shore-LIJ's Katz Institute for Women's Health (KIWH).  During each of the team's victories during the 2013 season, the Mets donated $2,500 to KIWH, which is focused on integrating women's health programs and services across the North Shore-LIJ Health System and helping women get the help they need to stay healthy. Accepting the check were Dr. Jennifer Mieres, left, the health system's senior vice president of community and public health, and Dr. Stacey Rosen, vice president, women's health at the Katz Institute.
