Staten Island, NY  -- Because most women don’t notice the symptoms of heart disease until it’s too late, Staten Island University Hospital North Shore-LIJ Health System invites women to learn how to listen to what their hearts have to say and have fun in the process.

Friday, February 13, 2015, our lucky day, “Love Your Heart” baskets galore and Big Raffle Ticket event. This year’s prizes include a 50-inch smart TV and the brand new ipad air. Lots of free heart information, self-quizzes and more.

Find us until 4 pm in the in Heart Tower Lobby at the North Site, 475 Seaview Avenue. Main Lobby at the South Site, 375 Seguine Ave.

Enjoy our Red Farmer’s Market for fresh heart healthy food.

At SIUH North, the market runs from 6 am to 4 pm in the cafeteria on the second floor of the main building..

At the South campus, the Farmer’s Market is from 8 am to 4 pm in the cafeteria on the lower level of the main building.

Tuesday February 24, 2015 at 5pm, “Hear What Your Heart Has to Say” has free screenings available in the Regina M. McGinn, MD, Education Center at SIUH North, 475 Seaview Ave.

Screenings include lipid profile for cholesterol, A1C for diabetes, blood pressure, waist circumference and body mass index screenings.
