Fifteen students from the Baldwin Senior High School Career Academy were paired with employees from Franklin Hospital in January and learned about different health care career paths at the hospital.
The students shadowed various employees, including a registered nurse, physical therapy director, laboratory manager, pharmacy director, registered dietitian, social work director, lead chef, human resource specialists, radiology director, volunteers director, security director and administrators.
“Seeing the students become energized by learning what their potential future job looks like was a great experience for the Franklin Hospital staff,” said Helen White, Franklin community relations manager, who organized the day. “We look forward to hosting the students again in the future.”
This is the second year Franklin Hospital has hosted students from Baldwin High School.
