GLEN COVE, NY – Glen Cove Hospital recently appointed Thomas F. Mannino, MD, associate chief medical officer and chair of radiology at the facility. Dr. Mannino, who has held various clinical roles at the North Shore-LIJ Health System for 19 years, was previously chairman of radiology at Forest Hills Hospital.
A resident of Lloyd Harbor, Dr. Mannino held the position of Glen Cove Hospital’s associate chairman of radiology from 2006 to 2014, and also served as medical director of the Outpatient Imaging Center at North Shore Imaging at Glen Cove.
Dr. Mannino earned his MD degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook Medical School; completed his residency in radiology at University Hospital at Stony Brook and his fellowship in nuclear medicine at Yale University Hospital in New Haven, CT.
Dr. Mannino also earned a Master’s degree in Health Care Delivery Science in February 2015 from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH, and holds a Healthcare Leadership Advancement Certificate Degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
A member of the American College of Radiology, Dr. Mannino is a diplomate of both the American Board of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. At North Shore-LIJ, he has served on the radiology service line performance improvement committee, the Forest Hills lung cancer screening program and its radiation safety committee.
Dr. Mannino is a board member of the Cold Spring Harbor Education Foundation, which focuses on supporting innovative and essential educational programs.
