The day was coordinated by the North Shore-LIJ’s Workforce Readiness division, which is led by Cheryl Davidson.
“We are thrilled to host this event because it is a way for educational and scientific institutions to work together,” Ms. Davidson said. “Here, teachers are experiencing cutting-edge research that they’ll take back to their class rooms and encourage their student’s interests in science and technology.”
The Feinstein Institute was one of 10 groups to participate in Professional Development Day and is part of the Long Island STEM Hub’s initiative to educate more students about science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
