GREENLAWN, NY – The Dolan Family Health Center marked its 20th year of providing primary health care to the medically underserved in the Huntington community with an evening of celebration on Friday, October 16 on the grounds of the health center.
The guests included past and present Huntington Hospital leadership, Suffolk County Legislator Dr. William Spencer, New York State Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci and members of the Huntington Town Board, the Townwide Fund, the Huntington Chamber of Commerce and the Family Service League.
The mission of the Dolan Family Health Center is to provide high-quality, comprehensive primary care to the medically underserved and facilitate entry into the healthcare system for individuals and families. Over the last 20 years, the health center has cultivated a personal and professional relationship with the community, adapting to its changing needs, recognizing and respecting cultural diversity and delivering individualized, coordinated care in a patient-centered environment.
The Dolan Family Health Center has been recognized by the National Committee on Quality Assurance as a Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home as well as receiving the NCQA Diabetes Recognition. The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations recertified the health center for three years.
