Lenox Hill Hospital to Open Heart Facility in Yorktown Heights

The first northern suburban outpost of Manhattan's Lenox Hill Hospital is scheduled to open Wednesday in Yorktown Heights for cardiovascular outpatients.

Ribbons will be cut and tours given late in the morning to introduce the new Lenox Hill Heart and Vascular Institute at 2649 Strang Blvd., Suite 305.

The opening is the latest move in the continued expansion throughout the region of the North Shore-LIJ Health System, which includes Lenox Hill Hospital among its members, according to a news release.

North Shore-LIJ spent more than $1 million to renovate and furnish the new 3,200-square-foot institute. The facility contains four procedure rooms with advanced medical equipment and technology used in cardiac noninvasive testing and vascular procedures, the news release said.

Patients will have direct access to Lenox Hill's board-certified cardiologists, including the chairman of cardiology, Dr. Varinder Singh, and the associate director of cardiology, Dr. Binoy Singh, according to the news release.

Lenox Hill to Open Local Heart Center

Lenox Hill Hospital is opening an outpatient cardiac center in Yorktown, its first in Westchester.
The New York City hospital will have a ceremony at 11 a.m. Wednesday to mark the opening of the facility at 2649 Strang Blvd.

The hospital, which is part of the North Shore-LIJ Health System, invested more than $1 million to renovate and furnish the 3,200-square-foot facility. It includes four procedure rooms with advanced medical equipment and technology for cardiac non-invasive testing and vascular procedures.

Patients will have direct access to Drs. Varinder Singh, chairman of cardiology at Lenox Hill Hospital; Binoy Singh, associate director of cardiology; and Sabrina Sawhney, an internist, as well as other specialists associated with the Lenox Hill Heart and Vascular Institute of New York.
