When it comes to preventing the potentially fatal bacterial infection clostridium difficile, or C. diff, Mount Sinai Hospital ranked among the 19 teaching hospitals with the worst scores, according to a ranking released by Consumer Reports Tuesday. Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn earned one of the two top scores in the country.
