Michael Grosso, MD
As medical director, Michael Grosso, MD, oversees Huntington Hospital’s medical staff and patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
The acting chair of Huntington’s Department of Pediatrics, Dr. Grosso regularly lectures in the Residency in Family Medicine at Glen Cove Hospital program, covering topics such as pediatric primary care, professionalism, communication and ethics. He also services serves as chair of Huntington’s Bioethics Committee and cochair of the hospital’s Performance Improvement Coordinating Group.
Dr. Grosso, who practiced general pediatrics for 16 years before joining Northwell, is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Zucker School of Medicine. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a medical degree from Weill Cornell Medicine. He completed a pediatric residency at New York Presbyterian.
