Jonathan Scheidt has rapidly advanced his career at Northwell Health. He is currently senior vice president of ambulatory services for the health system's Central Region. In this role, he focuses on Northwell’s rapidly expanding ambulatory network concentrating on large, multispecialty sites and other strategic ambulatory venues.
Previously, he served as executive director of pediatric services, overseeing and managing the quality of pediatric care delivered throughout the health system. Mr. Scheidt was also deputy executive director of Cohen Children's Medical Center and vice president of pediatrics, where he was responsible for the clinical, research and academic operations for pediatric services, which covers 12 hospitals and more than 40 outpatient sites. During his tenure, he has helped improve Press Ganey recommendations, expanded access to pediatric care by offering weekend and evening hours, and he helped develop a 14-site primary care network across three counties in support of Northwell’s population health initiatives.
Prior to Northwell, Mr. Scheidt was a radiation oncology administrator in the Center for Advanced Engineering and Applied Physics at Weill Cornell Medical College. He previously worked in various roles at New York Presbyterian Hospital, including paramedic and manager of healthcare delivery performance improvement.
Mr. Scheidt holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Albertus Magnus College in Connecticut and an MBA from New York Institute of Technology. He received a Lean Healthcare Certificate from the University of Michigan.
