As senior vice president of the medicine service line, JoAnne Gottridge, MD, oversees strategic planning, clinical operations and program development and for the non-academic medicine practices and programs across Northwell Health.

Dr. Gottridge completed her internal medicine residency in 1983 at North Shore University Hospital (NSUH) and has since remained with the health system. Most recently, she served as executive vice chair of the Department of Medicine at NSUH and Long Island Jewish Medical Center. She was also the division chief of general internal medicine in the Department of Medicine, and program director of NSUH’s Internal Medicine Residency Program from 2002-2008.

The 2003 recipient of Northwell’s Sandra Atlas Bass Award for Clinical Excellence and the 2009 Tita Monti Award for Outstanding Community Education, Dr. Gottridge is a fellow of the American College of Physicians. She earned her bachelor’s and medical degrees from Case Western Reserve University.
