Gerard Kaiser is responsible for the overall quality and care delivered at Northwell Health's skilled nursing facilities. He also is executive director of the Stern Family Center for Rehabilitation, where he manages day-to-day operations.
Previously, Mr. Kaiser was in charge of the Broadlawn Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and its Adult Day Health Program. He also managed engineering, dietary, ancillary and support services for the Long Island Home campus comprised of Broadlawn Manor and South Oaks Hospital. In this capacity, Mr. Kaiser provided leadership and oversight while ensuring the organization’s mission and strategic plan are implemented and meet the needs of the individuals and community served.
He worked closely with area hospitals, government ofﬁcials and local civic associations and agencies in providing valuable advocacy on a broad range of health issues affecting the Long Island region, speciﬁcally for the senior adult population.
Before joining the Long Island Home in 2001, Mr. Kaiser was the administrator of the Wartburg, a skilled nursing facility in Westchester County.
Currently Mr. Kaiser is a member of the LeadingAge New York Nursing Home Cabinet and Awards Committees. He received the United Adult Ministries Spirit Award in 2004 and is a 2013 Honoree for the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Leadership Award.
Mr. Kaiser holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Haven and a master’s degree in health administration from Hofstra University.
