Frank Danza is responsible for developing strategies to assure the appropriateness and completeness of inpatient and outpatient revenues, creating complete documentation and coding to support accurate reporting on the severity of patient illnesses and risk of mortality, and supporting the redesign and creation of Northwell’s patient access capabilities. His areas of focus and leadership include core revenue cycle operations for both the health system’s hospitals and ambulatory services, case management/care model development and Project Access. He also contributes to the strategic development and design of Northwell’s risk retention capabilities and accountable care organization.
Most recently, Mr. Danza was executive director of Lenox Hill Hospital. He previously served as chief financial officer for North Shore University Hospital and LIJ Medical Center, where he was responsible for overseeing combined budgets of nearly $2 billion, and was instrumental in partnering with physician and nursing leadership to drive quality and efficiency initiatives at the two campuses. Prior to this position, Mr. Danza was vice president of revenue cycle management for the health system.
Before joining Northwell in 2004, Mr. Danza led the Healthcare-Payer Practice at BearingPoint Inc. for two years. He was also a consulting partner and practice leader during 18 years with Arthur Andersen.
A licensed public accountant, Mr. Danza received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from New York University.
